FAQ
You used to have a shop in Palmerston North, but it’s gone. Where are you now?
We have relocated to Hamilton! We have shifted in with our good friends at Holi Boli. You’ll find them in at 462 Ulster Street, Hamilton and 196 Featherston Street, Wellington Central. And for the month of July, Holi Boli is running a pop-up shop in Central Auckland at 105 Queen Street.
What is your exchange and returns policy if my garment does not fit me?
We always have our customers best interest at heart, so if you are not satisfied with your Tonic and cloth merchandise, please contact us as soon as possible. We can provide an exchange or store credit if the garment is faulty in any way. For more information, visit our Returns & Shipping page here.
What are your shipping options and how long will my delivery take?
Currently we provide FREE shipping on NZ orders over $100, or $7.50 shipping for all orders below $99.99 for our New Zealand customers, and flat rate $30 on ALL orders for our Australian customers. Check out our Returns & Shipping page here for more info on shipping rates and delivery times.
How can I make sure I order the correct size?
We understand the uncertainty of sizing when purchasing fashion items online, so we have created an accurate sizing guide to cast aside your size worries. Check out our sizing guide here.
How do I take care of my new Tonic and Cloth item?
Pay careful attention to care instructions on the label of your Tonic and Cloth garment. We always encourage our clothes to be hand washed or gentle machine washed in non-toxic detergents. Never tumble dry. Use a cool iron on the inside of the fabric. Having read the care instructions, if you still have queries, please get in touch!
How can I sell Tonic and Cloth products in my retail store?
We partner with ethical and sustainable boutique-style retailers. If you would like to be a Tonic and Cloth stockist then we would love to hear from you! Contact us here.
Why do some labels say ‘made in India’ and others say ‘made in NZ’?
We partner with the amazing Holi Boli ethical production house in India, however Tonic and Cloth also work with local New Zealand production companies. Part of being a sustainable company requires that we grow with our production partners sustainably. As employment grows at Holi Boli we are able to shift more production there. Plus, Jodie just loves fabric shopping in New Zealand too!
Are your fabrics sustainable?
We honor the environment here at Tonic and Cloth, and Jodie loves working with beautiful natural fibres such as silk, linen, GOTS certified organic cotton, organic denim, and eucalyptus tencel. Our access to 100% sustainable GOTS certified fabrics is often limited, and at such time we choose to use natural fabric such as linen, wool and cotton - rather than polyester and nylon. We are getting closer every season to becoming 100% sustainable.
